## Beskriuwing

Sennto adds a floating chat widget that answers visitors using Claude AI by Anthropic,
in your brand voice and in the site language. It draws on your real content: posts,
pages and WooCommerce products with variations and prices, plus external URLs or
feeds you choose.

Key features:

 * Floating bar or icon launcher, customizable in colors and text.
 * Knowledge from your site content and from external sources.
 * Content compression with an adjustable level to save tokens.
 * Contacts and a booking link, offered when relevant.
 * Multilingual support with Polylang and WPML.
 * API key stays on the server, never exposed on the front end.

### Third-Party Services

This plugin connects to the Anthropic API (Claude) to generate AI responses. When
the widget is enabled and an API key is configured, the visitor messages and the
site context selected as knowledge are transmitted over HTTPS to Anthropic’s servers
on each chat message, to generate the reply. This service is provided by Anthropic,
PBC.

## Ynstallaasje

 1. Upload the `sennto` folder to `/wp-content/plugins/`, or install the ZIP from Plugins,
    Add New, Upload Plugin.
 2. Activate the plugin.
 3. Go to Settings, Sennto.
 4. In Basic Settings enter your Anthropic API key, choose the model and enable the
    widget.
 5. In Content set the system prompt and select the knowledge content and URLs.
 6. In Style and Contacts customize the look and the contact details.
 7. Save and open your site to see the chat.

## FAQ

### Do I need WooCommerce?

No, it is optional. If active, the bot reads products, variations and prices.

### Which model should I use?

Haiku for cost and speed, Sonnet or Opus for richer answers.

### Is my API key safe?

Yes, it stays on the server and is never exposed on the front end.

### How are languages handled?

The bot replies in the enabled site languages and the texts are translatable with
Polylang or WPML.
